This will change the way you look at beef and Tofu
Gday mate!
Do I have an FAQ answer for you!!!! One of the biggest myths in our world of food, performance and nutrition revolves around the almighty Tofu. It has been consistently said, that Tofu has a negative affect on our hormones, particularly for males. Well I want to make it clear (as we go by evidenced based data in this newsletter), that a recent study has cleared things up. In a study published in ScienceDirect results demonstrated:
It would take 14 servings of Tofu to have a negative effect on our hormones, in particular male testosterone and oestrogen counts
The clinical studies showed no effect on sperm or semen parameters
Soy protein supplementation leads to similar gains in muscle mass & strength among men performant regular resistance exercise
Soo all you lovely women out there you have nothing to worry about your man getting man boobs because of soy, and gents, you do not have to think you are being less manly because you have tofu... UNLESS you are shovelling more than 14 servings of Tofu a day, but this is where we have to highlight that if you are having 14 servings of anything including Broccoli it is going to screw up a number of your body's internal patterns. So what do beef and Tofu have in common?
They both support muscle mass and strength gains
having more than 14 servings of either of them would cause negative effects on your body :)
